Upgrade to larger version of Fast-Flex Plus
I currently am using either the Free version or the Small Employer version
of Fast-Flex Plus. I have received a message that I have reached the maximum number of employees permited by this version
of the software.
Q1: I have fewer than this number of employees who are currently having money withheld from their paychecks for
participation in the flex plan. Why am I receiving this message?
A1: The employee count used by Fast-Flex Plus is not only the "active" (contributing) employees. It also includes
employees that are no longer actively participating in your flex plan, but are still in the employee database. That is, the
employee may be marked as "Terminated" on Employee Data screen, page 1 of 4, but he is still in the database pending "Termination",
a process described in the manual on page 52 that you should do at the beginning of a new fiscal year to remove his record
entirely from the new fiscal year's employee database.
You can count the total number of employees from: Main Menu/Analysis/ Report Generator/Employee Reports/Participants Listing.
If it is at 10 for the Free version or 25 for the Small Employer version, you will need to upgrade your software to the Regular
Employer or Third-party Administrator Version, neither of which has a limit on the number of plan participants.
Q2: How do I update my software to a larger version of Fast-Flex Plus?
A2:
Step 1. Please go to this web page to select the version of Fast-Flex Plus that
is correct for your company. The bottom of the page has a link to our secure server that will enable you to instantly purchase
an access code that will convert the Fast-Flex Plus software you already have to a larger version. There will be no need
to download and install a different or new version of the Fast-Flex Plus software that you are currently using.
Step 2. Next, use Windows Explorer to delete the file named Support.dat from your computer. Depending on your
version of Windows, it will be found in one of the following folders: C:\Program Files\FFPRO4\Support.dat OR C:\Program
Files (x86)\FFPRO4\Support.dat. (Note that C:\Program Files\FFPRO4 or C:\Program Files (x86)\FFPRO4 is the default installation
folder for Fast-Flex Plus. You can right-click on the Fast-Flex Plus icon on your desktop, click on "Properties", and look
at the "Start-in" box if yours is different.
Step 3. Start Fast-Flex Plus as usual. It will ask you for a new access code. Enter: 9604961. Your Fast-Flex
Plus software will now be upgraded to the full TPA version!
